all the difference

ABOUT

All The Difference is a philosophical travel talk-show showcasing the stories of individuals who have made pivotal life choices. Think: a rebel turned monk, an incarcerated person convicted of murder, a woman who defects from arranged marriage, a soldier in a resistance militia—all potential subjects unified by their choice to take roads less traveled.

Inspired by the spiritually insightful media produced by Oprah Winfrey, the intellectually rich shows of Henry Louis Gates Jr., the evocative documentary work of Joshua Oppenheimer, and the cross-cultural exploration of Anthony Bourdain, All The Difference will broaden audiences’ global consciousness and facilitate deeper self-knowledge.

THEMES

All The Difference acknowledges and tends to the culture’s desire for enriching conversations on the human condition.

Topics of purpose, autonomy, love, grief, metamorphoses, and more are explored in All The Difference. These themes, which have been hesitantly approached in mainstream media despite mass yearning for them, are engaged with curiosity, nuance, and lightheartedness.

CULTURAL IMPACT

All The Difference will bridge cultural and generational divides, reintroduce philosophy to the masses as a tool for personal development, and mature popular media consumption to more sophisticated standards.

Our show appeals to older generations’ struggling to adapt in a rapidly changing digital age with younger audiences whose disillusionment with the status quo preceded puberty. Often pitted against one another as holding radically different values, All The Difference hones in on the universal aspects of the human condition, centering the ways we are all more alike than not.

Showcasing philosophies from various faith systems and schools of thought, audiences will conclude episodes with broadened and more tolerant perspectives on their values and lifestyles. Enriched with information drawing upon history, sociology and psychology, our show will serve as an entertaining method of public education. In a time in which media consumption is siloed, All the Difference brings viewers together, encouraging conversation and integration of reflections made upon viewing into daily life.
