GOOD GRIEF, 2020

Shot, Directed, Edited: Treasure Brooks

While attending an outdoor work dinner in Manhattan at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic,Treasure witnessed a woman step on a rogue rat with her Louboutin shoe. She then spent the next month filming rats across the city and theorizing about trash as a symbol of futurity. Good Grief grapples with the facelessness of loss and the futility of beauty— both natural and manufactured—in periods of mass death.
