IGTV SERIES: The Meteor explains

“The Meteor Explains” was created with the intention of excavating and reinstating lesser-known histories to their rightful place in the public conscience.

Serving as the series’ host, writer, and editor, Treasure highlights political topics at the center of public debate. Each episode is structured in an accessible and comedic fashion that makes watching enjoyable for viewers of any age (think “Bill Nye The Science Guy” but for the feminist in your life!)

As the sole recurring presence on The Meteor’s Instagram, Treasure helped to grow The Meteor’s following from 1.5k to over 12k in just one year. Her keen sense for breaking news even allowed her to cover major current events before they made national press; In 2020, she reported on forced sterilization months prior to whistleblowers exposing that migrant detainees were undergoing coerced hysterectomies in ICE detention centers.
